On-Site Food Handler Classes are offered at the Greenbrier County Health Department the third Thursday of every month except August. These classes are at 1:00pm and are offered on a first-come first-served basis.
The Greenbrier County Health Department is offering Person-In Charge (PIC) Food Handler Classes at the health department. Food service management personnel are required to obtain a PIC food handler card instead of a regular food handler card and should register for an upcoming PIC food handler class before their current food handler card expires or if they do not have one now. The content of the traditional class will be enhanced with discussion of food safety management systems and use of tools that ensure active managerial control of food borne illness risk factors. Currently, the price of the class is the same as a regular food handler card but registration is required. Please call (304)645-1539 for more information and to register.
